The original lenses found in viking graves at Gotland, Sweden, are made of silver and rock crystal. Nevertheless, we couldn't resist the satisfation of making of a lens with amber. Amber was a well known and highly appreciated material for jewellery during the viking age and it also comes from the coasts of Östersjöen (the Eastern Sea), in which Gotland is situated.
